Chromatic Numbers in Some Graphs
Let G = (V,E) be a graph. A k-coloring of a graph G is a labeling f : V (G) → T , where | T |= k and it is proper if the adjacent vertices have different labels. A graph is k-colorable if it has a proper k-coloring. The chromatic number χ(G) is the least k such that G is k-colorable. Here we study chromatic numbers in some kinds of Harary graphs. متن کاملOn Some Small Classical Ramsey Numbers
This note is a report on a computer investigation of some small classical Ramsey numbers. We establish new lower bounds for the classical Ramsey numbers R(3, 11) and R(4, 8). In the first case, the bound is improved from 46 (a record that had stood for 46 years) to 47; and in the second case the bound is improved from 57 to 58. The classical Ramsey number R(s, t) is the smallest integer n such ...
متن کاملEnergy of Graphs, Matroids and Fibonacci Numbers
The energy E(G) of a graph G is the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of G. In this article we consider the problem whether generalized Fibonacci constants $varphi_n$ $(ngeq 2)$ can be the energy of graphs. We show that $varphi_n$ cannot be the energy of graphs. Also we prove that all natural powers of $varphi_{2n}$ cannot be the energy of a matroid.
متن کاملRoman bondage numbers of some graphs
A Roman dominating function on a graph G = (V,E) is a function f : V → {0, 1, 2} satisfying the condition that every vertex u with f(u) = 0 is adjacent to at least one vertex v with f(v) = 2. The weight of a Roman dominating function is the value f(G) = ∑ u∈V f(u). The Roman domination number of G is the minimum weight of a Roman dominating function on G. The Roman bondage number of a nonempty ...
متن کاملThe multichromatic numbers of some Kneser graphs
The Kneser graph K(m, n) has the n-subsets of {1, 2 . . . . . m} as its vertices, two such vertices being adjacent whenever they are disjoint. The kth multichromatic number of the graph G is the least integer t such that the vertices of G can be assigned k-subsets of {1, 2,... ,t}, so that adjacent vertices of G receive disjoint sets. The values of xk(K(m, n)) are computed for n = 2, 3 and boun...
